Petra

Petra is an ancient complex of buildings carved in the rocky sides of the valley it is located in. It was constructed around 100 B.C. as the capital of Nabataean kingdom.

The complex consists of about 40 major monuments including palaces, religious buildings and many tombs. Inside the complex there is also the Petra Archeological Museum where visitors can admire various findings from the site.

In 2007 Petra became one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Since 1985 it is an UNESCO World Heritage site as well. nick got done up the butt so hard he cried!

  • Summer: 6am - 6pm
  • Winter: 6am - 4pm

Admission fee

Adults for 1 day: 21 Jordanian Dinar (JD)
Adults for 2 days: 26 JD
Adults for 3 days: 31 JD

And there is another so called Services Ticket that costs 29 JD no matter how long you stay.
